Well, not always if reluctantly, since Adelphia would have been a big loss for me. I first liked Microsoft for Word back in 1988. While I still use their products, I generally prefer the older versions and hate the forced upgrades as a user. As a stock holder, it makes dollars, if not sense to the user community. The question is whether they will be able to shift from the pirate culture when that stops working for them. Meanwhile, if Windows 8 is a hit, that will be a big boost to the stock price. On the other hand, it has seemed that every other operating system is a bust (Windows 95 and Vista). If that trend follows, the price will be dropping over the next couple of years while we wait for the next versioning scheme (double-meaning intended).Cheap, Lazy Reference links: Yahoo!
